What Can Blood Do?
Hebrews: Where Else Would We Go
Scripture/Text: ; Scripture/Text: Hebrews 9:11-28; It is easy to take for granted all Jesus' death accomplished. But talk to any random person, even those who go to church and they will have difficulty explaining what Jesus' blood did and even more trouble articulating why it was necessary. Hebrews compare Jesus' blood to the blood of animals in Israel's tabernacle and temple worship. As the comparisons are made we learn why God called for blood to be shed in the first place, how those purposes differ from what we might imagine, and how the blood of Christ alone gives us what our souls desire. One advance piece of good news, the blood of Christ can make us clean, even when we don't understand all that it does. But for the sake of growth and celebration join us to learn how thoroughly, the blood of Jesus ransoms us forever!
