Scripture/Text: ; The first half of Mark's Gospel tells the story of how Jesus reveals His identity to the first disciples. This Sunday's sermon will focus on how Jesus surprises those same disciples with the claim that as Messiah, He will die. Beyond that, Jesus will show us why embracing the kind of death He experienced, crucifixion empowers our obedience and love for the one who is on a "Road to the Cross."
